Town hall
The festival will conclude on November 9 in St. Ingbert in the Stadthalle, which is located directly at the market in the city center and is used as a classic event hall.
The town hall is a prestigious building that was built as part of the redevelopment of the market in the 1970s. None other than Hanns Schönecker, the architect who also penned the plans for the iconic pavilions of the Modern Gallery in Saarbrücken, is planning the hall.
Together with Norber Köhl and Erich Kreischer, Schönecker had won first prize in the “Marktplatz St. Ingbert” urban planning competition in 1969. After the town hall was built in 1971, the hall was inaugurated five years later.
The interior of the room, which is characterized by heavy woods and parquet flooring in the typical style of the 1970s, is atmospherically illuminated by the fill-in team for the concert.
