The kick-off event for fill in will take place this year on April 26, 2024 with a street festival around the former bus workshop and the KuBa in the Eurobahnhof district. In recent years, a small district with offices, restaurants and lots of culture has sprung up behind Saarbrücken’s main railway station.

From 4 p.m. until late in the evening, we will celebrate jazz with the neighborhood of the Eurobahnhof and the Saarbrücken music scene. The focus is on handmade live music with the band Problembär on stage and the Balou Brass Band, which moves through the audience making music. In the evening, DJs Henk the Tank & Mad Money Morv (Funkfreaks Saarbrücken) invite you to a groovy jazz party in the beer garden of the Qu4rtier restaurant.

Numerous street artists will provide a good mood, market stalls sell art, unusual fashion and of course music. Culinary delights will be well catered for: several street food stands will be offering food and drinks, including the essence fitness studio with its own crêpes stand. There will be face painting and an entertainment program for children.

The festival grounds are located directly behind Saarbrücken’s main train station and can be reached on foot in just a few minutes via the north exit.

BY BUS and the Saarbahn
The festival site is part of the Saarbrücken fare zone (Großwabe 111) and has four nearby bus stops:
– Hauptbahnhof” stop: in addition to Saarbahn line 1, the stop is also served by bus lines 30, 102, 104, 105, 108, 111, 112, 121, 122, 123, 124 and others.
– Ludwigsberg” bus stop: served by bus lines 105, 125, 128, 154, 197, 321, N4, N13 and X66.
– Bus stop “Grülingstr.” (Rodenhof): is served by bus lines 105, 125 and 172.
– Bus stop “Hauptbahnhof-Nord”: is served by bus line 105.

BY CAR
FROM MANNHEIM/KAISERSLAUTERN AND LUXEMBOURG/TRIER
Via the A6 and A 623, turn right onto Camphauser Str. and Ludwigskreisel in the direction of Rodenhof via Grülingstraße, take the first exit at the first traffic circle and the third exit at the next traffic circle into Europaallee.

Follow the A620 until the exit “15-Westspangenbrücke, keep right and turn right before the Ludwigskreisel in the direction of Rodenhof. Via Grühlingstraße, take the first exit at the first traffic circle and the third exit at the next traffic circle into Europaallee.
